Okay, no more apologies from me. (Thank you, Mari.)

TUES 6/7 (thru THUR 6/9)
Noon to 8pm
Scooper Bowl
at City Hall Plaza, Boston (Govt Center)
$8 / $4 for ages 3 to 9 ($15 -- 3 day access)
All-you-can-eat ice cream, 'nuff said!
For about the price of lunch, you can gorge yourself on scoops and scoops of almost 30 ice cream, frozen yogurt, and/or sorbet flavors from the companies listed below:
* Baskin-Robbins
* Ben & Jerry's
* Ciao Bella Gelato
* Edy's
* Friendly's
* HP Hood/Brigham's
* SoCo Creamery
I suggest focusing on quality, because you're probably not going to eat 30 scoops.
Psst, maybe the line for SoCo Creamery will be short because people don't know it's awesome ice cream from the Berkshires. (Of course, Ben & Jerry's and Ciao Bella are also good.)
Pig out or be reasonable, because the proceeds benefit the Jimmy Fund/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute either way.
TUES 6/7
8:30pm
Bluegrass Pickin' Party
at Cantab Lounge - Downstairs, 738 Mass Ave, Cambridge (Central Sq)
$7 suggested donation
Feat: Della Mae (10pm), Sam Stambler (8:30pm)
This weekly pickin' party has been going on for more than a decade, so this is the place on any Tuesday that you feel like listening to live bluegrass.
I saw a version of Della Mae play with Hey Mama one time, and it was really damn good. Now Hey Mama's Celia is part of the band.
All are invited to play before and after the featured bands (but it's assumed that you know how to play)...
They say the donation is voluntary; still it would be good karma to drop something in the hat when it comes around.
TUES 6/7
8pm to Midnight
"Tango Cafe"
at The Beehive, 541 Tremont St, Boston (South End)
FREE
It's subtitled "A Night in Buenos Aires", and the ironic part is that it should be rather temperate at this time in the "Paris of South America".
Musicians and dancers from the Longy School of Music perform from 8pm to Midnight.
The drinks and food can't be categorized as cheap, but I feel I should add that themed items will be served from 5:30pm to 1am.
TUES 6/7
10pm
Spelling Bee
at Highland Kitchen, 150 Highland Ave, Somerville (Winter Hill)
FREE
The first Tuesday of the month is 'spelling night' at Highland Kitchen, hosted by Nicole & Victor of Egoart dance/multi-media group.
Since the National Spelling Bee happened last week, it seemed like this would be a good time for interested orthographers to stretch out their vocabularies for a chance to win a gift certificate for the restaurant.
