Happy B-Day, Rocky Marciano!

I often like to check the historical items of the day, and I noticed that Rocky Marciano was born today in 1923.

He died on the day before his 46th birthday so I had to do some further reading about Brockton's favorite son. It turned out to be a plane crash.

Though he's probably not remembered by most, he is still a hero to Italian-Americans -- especially since we'll probably never have another Italian heavyweight champion. And he was never defeated in his professional career!

Brockton, I hope you get your Marciano statue someday soon...
