Jef Czekaj, "Hip & Hop Don't Stop!": Reading
at Brookline Booksmith, 279 Harvard St, Brookline (Coolidge Corner)

I don't know Jef Czekaj personally. I have used his posters on the blog for cool events around town, and I've seen the his group Big Digits; so I'd like to spread the word for his hip-hop children's book. Kids of all ages should dig it.

all over Somerville [PDF, Jpeg]

There's a lot of painting, sculpting, assembling, etc around Somerville. Over 300 artists in over 100 venues show you what they've been making. (They'll even sell you stuff.) If I were you, I'd take the T and walk around (or take the trolley).
Running concurrently with Sunday's Open Studios it the "Top Shelf Flea Market" at the Dilboy VFW. (Free to look around, and the bar will be open.)
Brookline is also having "Open Studios".
