THUR 12/25: Godfather, Boozefest

Whatever your thing may be, today in my family is a time to wish peace and good will to everyone -- and mean it for a while...

Always a good day to catch a movie and/or to drink, here are a couple ideas.

Double Feature
"The Godfather" (1:15pm, 8:30pm)*
"The Godfather, Part II" (4:45pm)*
at Brattle Theatre, 40 Brattle St, Cambridge (Harvard Sq)
$9.50 ($7.50 Matinee)

The first two "Godfather" movies combined or separate will always be remembered as cinematic masterpieces. You may have seen it on all sorts of Tv's, but this is a chance to see them back-to-back on the big screen. All you favorite scenes -- bigger! And presumably better since both films have undergone "extensive frame-by-frame examination and restoration."

As I understand it, you can pay less to see only one half of the program.

Could be fun... I didn't find (or actually look too hard for) other places that were advertising more than just being open tonight. Not much specifics on their site. This is basically what I read about what's going on:

Movies, un-wholesome games, chinese food perhaps?

Chinease food will be ordered, movies will be played and all are welcome, children of divorce - this is your place!

Note: There's no cover, but I don't remember the drinks/food being particularly "cheap"...
